Steps to Success

KESSP is working in collaboration with Central Sports Partnership and Sport Birmingham on the Steps to Success Project for young people in primary school in Key Stage 1-2. The Steps to Success programme is also being endorsed by England Netballer, Layla Guscoth and England Cricketer, Dan Mouseley.

The aim of the project is to help to build physical, social and emotional skills in young people through a family engagement programme.

The project offers 3 tiers of engagement:

 - A 6-week resource for schools to send home to families to build physical, social and emotional skills in young people that may have been lost during lock down and beyond.

 -  In school training for young people to become Wellbeing Ambassadors within their own school.

- An opportunity to take part in a Year 3/4 Steps to Success Festival, run by year 7 students attending local secondary schools.

In 2023, the Steps to Success programme was featured by the School Games for developing the Eco-Friendly element of our programme. Click on the image below to see what our students have learnt through completing the Eco-Friendly workshop.
