KESSP Projects 2024-25
The King Edward partnership is proud to run various projects throughout the year which focus on various aspects of Physical Education and school sport.
MLB First Pitch
MLB First Pitch offers fun and inclusive resources to spark an interest in physical activity, sport, and the game of baseball through play and basic skill development. The programme is run in partnership with BaseballSoftball UK.
Active in Mind
The Active in Mind project works with students in year 9 and 10, focusing on wellbeing and positive mental health through physical activity. Student mentors develop tools and strategies to help them cope with their own stressors and anxieties. Our mentors have worked with over 200 young people in year 6 and 7 this year, supporting them through transition from primary school to secondary school. This year, we will be teaming up with Sport Birmingham to offer more young people the opportunity to train as Wellbeing Ambassadors in their school.

Boys Move Project
The aim of this project is to give boys the opportunity to take part in physical activity in their local school and to provide them with an opportunity to engage in projects out of school such as kayaking, rock climbing and sailing. We are currently in our third year of the project and are looking forward to engaging more schools in this project.
